The National  Chinchilla Society was originally formed in the 1950's. Its members were responsible in the UK for the importation, breeding and development of the Chinchilla into the well known and beloved animal many people own today. We hold chinchilla shows throughout the UK during the showing season of September to April. For more details please see the "Show Information" and "Events" pages on this website.

AIMS

The aims of the Society have remained the same throughout its long history. These are to encourage and promote the keeping, breeding  and showing of QUALITY CHINCHILLAS, whilst at all times maintaining good husbandry practices.
